We will discuss the contributions made by new American Inventors who have been basically marginalized from the mainstream of American History.
Author: Black History Is American History
I have been a scholar of American History for almost fifty years. My curiosity was piqued as a young child upon realizing the realities of racial discrimination in a society that claimed to be America's "melting pot" yet practiced the in humane enslavement of my ancestors, segregation and Jim Crow practices in every aspect that was humanly possible. When our family integrated an all white neighborhood in 1963, I was one of only two black children in the elementary school. This had a profoundly negative impact upon my self concept and esteem. It was through my introduction to the NAACP and study of Black History that restored me. Through the years and decades I have become a writer, activist and presenter of Black History. Currently I am preparing a manuscript for publication of those experiences.
